Port Alsworth in the spring— located on beautiful Lake Clark, mountains galore, grizzly bears, and 19 hours of daylight. Accessible only by plane, this small village hosts youth from over 30 Alaska Native villages at their summer camp program. There are opportunities to spend time with the youth in the village, serve at the local church and encourage the missionary families in this isolated context. With ready and open hearts the team will be flexible to serve in whatever each day brings, from hauling brush to listening to a hurting heart. First Nations young people deal daily with issues of abuse, suicide, and depression, context needing the Hope of the Gospel.
