Team Zambia’s Safe Return

After spending too many hours waiting in airports and flying high in the sky all members of team Zambia have arrived safely back home Tuesday evening. We are all very thankful for the time spent in Choma, the lessons God taught us and the memories of the people and the beauty of Zambia.

Cruising the Zambezi River

Our time in Zambia has come to an end which is bittersweet. While spending time debriefing together as a team before departing we have also had time to enjoy some activities. From elephant rides, bungee jumping and safaris we have all experienced a new side to Zambia.  As a team we were also able to reflect together and spend one of our final nights in Zambia watching as the sunset along the Zambezi River.

We Are Off to Livingstone

Greetings and goodbyes we have learned are a central part of Zambian culture. Preparing to leave Choma to head off to Livingstone, which is 2 hours away we spent time visiting with those we got to know before departing. Village Life

Arriving under a blanket of stars the team was greeted by Zambians and excited for the experience that was ahead. Eating traditional Zambian food by a fire and looking in awe at the many stars above was breathtaking. It was an amazing opportunity to experience another side to Zambian culture and be warmly welcomed by the villagers.

The Wedding Crashers

Over the past while we have been able to be a part of a variety of ministry whether teaching in schools or women’s groups at church. Jenny has also had numerous opportunities to speak to different schools and share her testimony offering hope in Jesus to students and adults with disabilities.

Greetings from Zambia

Over 18 + hours of sitting on planes the Zambia team has finally arrived in Choma, Zambia. We had safe flights and even got a day to explore central London when we had a stopover.  This included traveling on the tube, seeing Buckingham Palace, visiting Trafalgar Square and many more sites.

Departing in Under a Month

 

The count down is on with only 27 days until the Zambia team departs and begins their mission work. With mission orientation and team activities under our belts we are all eager to finally go. However, that being said it is helpful to have sometime to continue to prepare ourselves individually by praying for the Lord’s guidance and trusting he has planned great things for our team.
